AMPHIBIANS
There are around 8,500 to 9,000 known species of Amphibian (the numbers change often as endangered species become extinct and new species are discovered) within the three orders: Anura (frogs), Caudata (salamanders), and Gymnophiona (caecilians). Alabama is home to around 47 species of salamander and 31 species of frog. Of those,16 or 17 species of salamander and 18 species of frog may be found in the central Alabama region where Columbiana and Harmon Park are situated.
Species which have been verifiably observed in the Park are marked with the symbol:

Frogs
(Order: Anura)

Salamanders
(Order: Caudata)
