FROGS (Anura)
The order Anura (the Frogs and Toads) represents about 88% of all amphibians, with are around 7,700 known species (the numbers change often as endangered species become extinct and new species are discovered) sorted into 57 families. Eighteen species of frog within five families may be found in the central Alabama region where Columbiana and Harmon Park are situated.
